The defendant says she worked hard to accommodate the plaintiffs and spent significant time cleaning the apartment before the move-in date. Then, out of nowhere, the plaintiffs texted her saying they weren’t moving in and wanted their deposit back. She says that when she refused, the plaintiffs threatened to blackmail her. She is countersuing for legal fees and early termination charges.
