In this episode, we examine one of the most disturbing and precedent-setting cases in modern American justice: the life sentence of Amy Gonzalez for cyberstalking, despite never committing a violent crime. While two women were tragically murdered in a Delaware courthouse in 2013, the sole shooter acted alone and then took his own life. Yet federal prosecutors expanded culpability outward, transforming online speech and association into a punishment normally reserved for homicide. Under the watch of then–Attorney General Beau Biden, this case established a dangerous legal precedent that threatens future online dissent.
